Kainos lines up for hat trick at Digital DNA Awards

Three may very well be the magic number for Kainos, leading provider of digital services and platforms, as it has secured a nomination in a total of three categories, at the 2018 Digital DNA Awards. Taking place on Thursday 26 April at St. Anne's Cathedral, the awards recognise the achievements of individuals, projects and companies across the digital industries in Northern Ireland who are enjoying global success. This year, Kainos has been successful in making the shortlist in the Company of the Year, Best Large Tech Company and Young Person of the Year categories. 2016 Queen's University Graduate Kelly Moore is the successful nominee in the latter category, joining Kainos in 2014 as part of her placement year and building an impressive reputation within both the company and wider tech community since. Kelly's extensive involvement in the company's numerous outreach programmes, as well as responsibility for leading engagement with undergraduate students through initiatives including AppCamp and A.I.Camp are indicative of her passion and ambition to inspire the next generation. Commenting on their shortlist success, CEO at Kainos Brendan Mooney said: 'As both a sponsor of an award category and a nominee we very much support this celebration and recognition of Northern Ireland's ever-growing and internationally recognised digital footprint. 'Being shortlisted in both the Company of the Year and Best Large Tech Company categories reinforces our continued commitment to creating a working environment focused on delivering innovative solutions for our clients. 'Kelly's nomination in the Young Person of the Year category and proactive engagement with aspiring software engineers and programmers further supports one of our fundamental company objectives - to invest in future tech talent.' Kainos recently secured a place in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For list for the sixth year in a row and was commended for their progressive approach to workplace engagement. The company currently employs over 1,150 people across ten offices in Europe and the USA. Kainos is also a key sponsor of the event, held this year in St George's Market on 19th-20th June.
