Kainos Launches 2012 AppCamp, Challenging University Undergraduates to Develop Innovative Apps
London, UK March 26th, 2012 - Thriving technology company Kainos has launched its 2012 AppCamp - its acclaimed annual innovation challenge for university undergraduates.
AppCamp, the largest and most dynamic event of its kind in Europe and highly regarded by the developer community, offers bright university students the chance to take away the latest Apple mobile devices and to receive the support, guidance and mentoring from Kainos to have their product (an iPhone/iPod Touch or iPad App) marketed through the Apple App Store.
Kainos, recognised again in the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme this year, runs the annual 'camp' as a means of identifying and harnessing the best IT talent of the future. Previous events have taken place in the UK, Ireland and Poland, with new camps planned in additional regions over the coming years.
As a company applying cutting-edge technology to some of the most challenging business situations, Kainos prides itself on the technical prowess of its employees, who have typically joined the company from leading universities.
Announcing the launch of this year's competitions, Tom Gray, CTO at Kainos, said, 'AppCamp is one of the high points of the Kainos calendar, when we get to see first-hand just how talented the next crop of students are. The quality of entrants in last year's camps was phenomenal, so we have great hopes for 2012!'
Full details of the 2012 AppCamp and how to apply can be found on the competition web site at http://appcamp.co.uk. Applications are being accepted now and can be submitted up to April 20th.
