Kainos WorkSmart is part of the wider Kainos Group and is responsible for the on-going partnership with Workday in which we deploy, integrate, test and provide application management services for Workday configurations. Workday is a cloud-based software vendor that specialises in human capital management and financial management applications. Kainos WorkSmart has developed Kainos Smart which is an automated testing tool designed exclusively to test Workday configurations. Smart allows our customers to expand the breadth, depth, quality, and consistency of their testing. Today, Kainos Smart remains the only automated testing tool on the market that is designed exclusively for use with Workday.
We are currently seeking graduate trainees with an interest in developing a career in Workday Consulting and Smart Services.
Main purpose of role & level in the business:
As a Graduate Trainee WorkSmart consultant, you will be responsible for supporting the successful specification, design, configuration, testing and deployment of enterprise scale Workday solutions. This will be done by working with customer business and technical teams, as well as with our internal Workday and Smart delivery teams within the Kainos WorkSmart Business Unit (BU).
Your primary activities will be to understand and translate customer requirements, define service scope, and shape, configure and deliver solutions that are fit for purpose and commercially viable for our customers’ Workday and Smart projects. Hands-on product configuration is essential for this role.
You must have a keen interest in developing a career in consulting, and depending on your skills and experience to date, you may be suited to work in one or more of the following areas – Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), Financials or Payroll; testing and support; data management; integrations. Typically, you will have a background in one or more of the following disciplines - IT; business; HR/HCM; consulting; testing; financials; payroll; integrations.
The graduate trainee programme aims to develop your skills base across three core service lines within the WorkSmart Business Unit – Workday deployment and integration services, Workday Application Management Services, and Smart Services.
You will work as part of a project team to deliver WorkSmart solutions to our customers, and you will develop expertise in Workday functionality and deployment methodologies, and the Kainos Smart product offering during the graduate programme. This means that you will work across different service and product workstreams within the WorkSmart BU, specifically those for the design and implementation of customer Workday configurations at any point during their Workday lifecycle.
As a WorkSmart consultant, you must become Workday Certified and maintain that certification twice annually. You will develop your knowledge and skills of our Kainos Smart product offering and the Workday product. The WorkSmart Graduate Trainee Development Programme is designed to support and guide you through this development, within the context of customer projects and delivery teams.
