Summary

As a Technical Architect (Ops) in Kainos, you’ll be responsible for leading teams developing high quality solutions which delight our customers and impact the lives of users worldwide. As a technical leader on a project, you’ll work with customer architects to design, automate, build and operate modern digital service platforms, advising on estimated effort and technical implications of user stories and user journeys. It’s a fast-paced environment so it is important for you to make sound, reasoned decisions. You’ll be continually learning about new technologies and approaches, with talented colleagues that will help you to learn, develop and grow.

Essential Experience:

• Extensive expertise in designing, building, testing, automating and operating modern digital service platforms.
• Technical ownership for a modern digital service platform(s), including architecture, estimation, non-functional delivery, product planning, user story/requirement creation and iteration on MVP.
• Experience of implementing robust security controls and monitoring solutions – across infrastructure and application components - for web-services deployed using public cloud platforms.
• Expertise in using public cloud platforms - such as AWS and Azure - to build solutions using native SaaS and PaaS offerings.
• Able to simply and clearly communicate technical design in conversation, documentation and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Able to make effective decisions within fast-moving delivery.
• Experience mentoring and coaching members of your team and wider community
• Expertise in utilising the latest Continuous Delivery techniques for releasing operationally ready software to production.

Desirable Experience:

• Good knowledge of configuration management, infrastructure provisioning and container orchestration tooling.
• Active participation in knowledge sharing activities within the team, at a wider capability level and externally where appropriate.
• Has participated in technology communities.
