Are you an aspiring HR professional looking for a placement during your studies, where you'll be given real responsibilities? 

As a Placement People Team Assistant with Kainos, you will spend your year learning the role of the Kainos People Team function in a fast-paced, challenging plc environment. You’ll have great support and mentoring, balanced with the experience of being given real, meaningful work to do to help you truly develop both technically and professionally.

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for performing a wide variety of HR and L&D tasks which will include, but is not limited to, the following duties:

  • Support the Kainos People Team in all areas of their work;
  • Deal competently with internal and external support queries, resolving them in a timely manner & seeking support from the team as required;
  • Participate in project work as directed;
  • Co-ordinate and manage all People Team administration for the full employee life cycle;
  • Administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment and agreements;
  • Assist with the onboarding of new joiners and facilitating corporate induction days;
  • Support the L&D team with coordinating training courses and maintaining accurate training records;
  • Co-ordinate and manage the Kainos Reward and Recognition schemes;
  • General department administration including preparation of communications, presentations and the maintenance of spreadsheets, reports and ongoing maintenance of HRIS;
  • Providing a high level of customer care to both internal and external customers;
  • Providing support to the Head of People Support and Head of L&D as required.

Who you are

  • Currently studying a HR or similar Degree;
  • Capable of working with limited supervision;
  • You apply all relevant standards and procedures to your own work; 
  • You comply with all confidentiality and non-disclosure policies and/or agreements and ensures security of information at all times;
  • We are a customer focused business, so people with strong communication skills, who are professional, credible and open is a must;
  • We all work in teams here in Kainos – strong team skills are crucial;
  • We pride ourselves in doing our best and delivering to a high standard, so attention to detail and having a high-quality focus is definitely required;
  • You’ll have a flexible, "can do" attitude, with the ability to manage your own time and enthusiastic to learn.
