Kainos, a leading provider of digital services and platforms, announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) SaaS Competency status. This designation recognises that Kainos has demonstrated deep experience helping organisations design and build SaaS and cloud-native solutions on AWS.

Achieving the AWS SaaS Competency differentiates Kainos as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that possesses deep domain expertise in one or both of the following core SaaS categories Design Services and Builders. APN Consulting Partners in the Design Services category have expertise in designing and implementing complex cloud-native SaaS solutions with AWS infrastructure. APN Consulting Partners in the Builders category have deep expertise in building cloud-native SaaS applications via software development. The AWS SaaS Competency is a recognition of Kainos' experience to assist ISVs to modernise existing applications, or create new ones using a SaaS solution approach on AWS.

Kainos is one of the first APN Partners globally to achieve AWS SaaS Competency status. A market leader in cloud services with a strong reputation for minimising friction when migrating legacy applications to public cloud, Kainos has consistently invested in its technology solutions and people, ensuring customers get access to the most innovative solutions and high levels of service. The Kainos workforce currently includes more than 80 AWS accredited and certified individuals.

Kainos has utilised its expertise in SaaS to successfully deliver multiple complex projects across the healthcare, commercial and public sectors. The wealth of experience in this area enabled Kainos to partner with Skeyos, an independent spin-off of Lufthansa Technik, to deliver a ground-breaking, cloud-based ecommerce SaaS solution.

Kainos has also enabled the DVSA to develop an ambitious online service that has reduced the operational costs of the MOT service and improved standards. This award-winning, agile delivery project has benefited 60,000 MOT Testers across 22,700 locations nationwide.

Russell Sloan, Head of Digital Services at Kainos, said 'We're delighted to have our longstanding relationship with AWS recognised in this way. AWS have enabled us to deliver our own SaaS platforms and customer solutions at scale, recognising in most cases, a reduction in costs while improving service levels. We'll continue to invest in our people and the technology essential to delivering better and faster AWS cloud services for our customers.'

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.
