London, UK – 25th June 2015 – Digital Solutions provider Kainos has again proved triumphant at the prestigious Digital Leaders Awards. The company won the Industry Leader category, and was placed runner up in the Best Health and Social Care Product category. For the first time, Kainos also broke into the top ten for the DL100 list, finishing two places higher than 2014’s twelfth place.

The win in the Industry Leaders category follows 2014’s second place finish. Despite stiff competition in the category from Lloyds, BT, Talk Talk and Sopra Steria, Kainos won out for its excellence in delivering innovative and effective technology services to the public sector.

The Evolve product from Kainos has been recognised as one of the Best Health and Social Care products. Evolve is licenced to more than 70 hospitals in the NHS and handles over a billion patient documents, providing medical professionals with a sophisticated workflow tool that enables them to provide better care to patients.

As a bonus to round off a successful evening, the Kainos Digital Academy programme was shortlisted in the Digital Skills category. The Academy promotes initiatives that increase young people’s technological acumen and helps attract talented young individuals into the digital industry. It includes AppCamp and CodeCamp, which teach young developers and entrepreneurs about software development on both mobile and pc platforms.

Commenting on the nominations, Dr. Brian Gannon, SVP Corporate Development at Kainos said “We are delighted that our work in the public sector and our educational projects have been recognised once again by Digital Leaders. It reaffirms our commitment to investing in the digital future of public services and remaining a digital leader for years to come.”
