Kainos achieves Kubernetes on Microsoft Azure advanced specialisation

Kainos, a leading provider of digital services and platforms, is one of the first Microsoft partners in the UK to achieve Kubernetes on Microsoft Azure Advanced Specialisation.

This new status further builds on the exceptional relationship Kainos has built with Microsoft, who in 2018 named Kainos as its UK Partner of the Year.

The recognition is the result of Kainos' pioneering work in running production workloads on Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments. Kainos' wealth of experience in this area includes its current partnership with NHS Digital to build the NHS app, a flagship service that enables 40 million people to access healthcare services across the UK which runs on the Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service.

In recent years, the emergence of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes has transformed how digital services can be deployed to and operated at scale, creating significant opportunities for customers. Kainos' Cloud capability has been helping customers undertake rapid transformation at scale for over 20 years, including landmark projects like the UK Government's Register to Vote service which enabled millions of citizens to join the electoral register.

Russell Sloan, Head of Digital Services at Kainos, said 'Kainos' partnership with Microsoft is at the heart of our growth strategy, driving Azure revenue and adoption. We have invested significantly in developing our Cloud capability and are delighted to be recognised for our pioneering work on Kubernetes. Our team has worked incredibly hard to achieve this specialisation and is committed to widely implementing Kubernetes to further benefit our customers. We look forward to working more closely with Microsoft to build on this success.'
