Kainos Evolve: what we've been achieving in 2013-2014

On Thursday 11th, Riaz Rahman and Chris Murray represented Kainos at the HealthInvestor Awards ceremony, where we're delighted to announce Kainos Evolve picked up the 'Technology Provider of the Year' award. This is a massive achievement, and goes to prove how far we have come as a company in what was a new market to us just a few years ago. We thought we'd share some snippets from our award submission, to give you a quick overview of what we've been achieving in 2013-2014 : Evolve is now used by 23 Trusts, representing around 80 hospitals now the market leader for Electronic Medical Records within the UK / NHS market. During 2013 we won a series of new contracts for Evolve with high-profile UK Trusts, including Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust and South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland. We didn't rest on our laurels either. Our Evolve team are constantly innovating and ensuring that our product can deliver to the highest standard needed to thrive in the market and make a difference to the NHS Trusts we're working with. The Evolve team's new innovations included:
  • Evolve for iPad bringing the mobility of paper back, but making it secure, manageable and with offline capabilities, bringing the information to the care provider regardless of where and when they are. This will be making a massive impact on Trusts like Clatterbridge, who run clinics across the UK including the Isle of Man!
  • Evolve Healthcare Analytics - this will provide deeper intelligence and pave the way to predictive healthcare, further driving down healthcare costs and improving patient health, by helping clinicians understand what is buried within the patient casenote
  • Customer collaboration via the Evolve Customers Portal an area for them to swap ideas, and share electronic forms and workflows that they have been developing
  • Participation in 'Health Hacks', showing the best of Kainos' significant technical and business talent
Simply put- we had a great year in 2013, and the market agrees with us. We beat competition from some of the biggest names in the business and we should be very proud of what we have achieved. Here's to an even more successful 2014-15 for us, and for the trusts we work with towards excellence.
