Kainos selected to lead Concardis Payment Group's transformation agenda

Kainos, a leading provider of digital services and platforms has been selected as delivery partner for one of Europe's leading providers of digital payment solutions, Germany based Concardis Payment Group.

Concardis Group, located in Eschborn, Frankfurt, provides everything from payments at stationary points of sale, solutions for mobile and e-commerce to value-added services. The company serves approximately 100,000 clients in retail, hospitality and other industries across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and South-East Europe and processes a yearly transaction volume of €66.2 billion (business figures as per 31 Dec. 2017).

Following the completion of a one-month discovery phase, Kainos was selected to deliver a key component of Concardis Groups strategic architecture, which will assist them in becoming the number one provider for digital payments in Europe.

'Over the one-month trial period Kainos worked in true agile fashion, collaborating successfully with multiple teams in different locations to provide a high-level architecture and an outline of the full project delivery. This involved a high-scale integration platform using an open source technology stack, micro-services and an event-based architecture,' said Jana Brendel, CIO of Concardis Payment Group. 'Kainos fully meets our expectations for our strategic architecture and we are looking forward to a successful partnership.'

Commenting on their contract win, Russell Sloan, Kainos Digital Services Director said: 'Our ability to mobilise quickly and our detailed understanding and extensive experience of designing and engineering platforms on open source technology stack, were key to our success. Last year we opened an office in Frankfurt, so we are ideally located to provide Concardis and its partners in Eschborn with balanced, local and distributed teams.

This contract is strategically important to Kainos, as we continue to expand our footprint in the German financial services sector, delivering digital services.'
