Microsoft Ignite 2021: My interview on accessibility life hacks

I was delighted to be asked by Dona Sarkar, Microsoft Dev Manager and Ignite host, to do a live interview for Microsoft Ignite 2021.

It came about after Dona tweeted asking how disabled/neurodiverse folk are using tech, and I explained how useful the automatic captioning in Teams is for me while on calls with customers and colleagues, especially now I'm working from home.

Pre-Covid, I would have had difficulty hearing customers on calls and had to bring colleagues in to help, which wasn't a great experience for me. I was really worried once we had to work from home and I was no longer able to do that, but Teams' automatic captioning has been a game changer for me. I can now join calls and lead discussions, giving me so much more confidence and independence.
